Chen Zhicheng,  Ph.D. in Engineering, Associate Professor, selected for the first batch of Jilin University's "Engineering Cluster Young Talent Special Support Program."

His research primarily focuses on automotive steer‑by‑wire chassis dynamics and intelligent actuator control technologies.

Primary Research Interests:
[1] End‑to‑end chassis dynamics control technologies for multi‑domain integrated distributed‑drive electric vehicles
[2] Braking‑steering‑suspension control technologies optimized for human‑vehicle‑environment multi‑factor collaboration
[3] Intelligent fault‑tolerant control technologies based on quantitative chassis health monitoring mechanisms
[4] Self‑learning modeling and consistency control technologies for chassis actuators under heterogeneous wheel‑end disturbances

Team and Admissions Information:
The Vehicle Control and Intelligence Laboratory (VCI) at Jilin University was established in 2010. The team is led by Professor Zhu Bing and is equipped with world‑class full‑stack platforms for intelligent vehicle technology R&D and testing. The team has cultivated four Top 10 Graduate Students of Jilin University and five Top 10 Undergraduate Students of Jilin University, with more than 30 recipients of the National Scholarship. It has been awarded two doctoral student research grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Graduates have received three Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations from the China Society of Automotive Engineers, two Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations of Jilin Province, three Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations of Jilin University, six Outstanding Master's Theses of Jilin Province, and fourteen Outstanding Master's Theses of Jilin University.

I recruit at least two master's students each year from majors including Vehicle Engineering, Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, and Mathematics. Applicants are expected to demonstrate strong teamwork, a spirit of innovation and perseverance, and good communication skills, along with a solid programming foundation in Matlab/Simulink, Python/PyTorch, and some experience in automotive chassis electronic control.

The VCI team maintains a positive and supportive atmosphere. Excellent doctoral and master's candidates from both domestic and international backgrounds are sincerely welcome to join!
