Energy-saving and new energy vehicles; intelligent vehicle navigation
Research Experience
Since 2001, as the technical person-in-charge of the Hybrid Electric Vehicle Research Group of Jilin University, he has successively undertaken research tasks for hybrid electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles under major special projects of the National 863 Program for the 10th Five-Year Plan (Electric Vehicle Major Project), the 11th Five-Year Plan (Energy-Saving and New Energy Vehicle Major Project), and the 12th Five-Year Plan (Key Technologies and System Integration for Electric Vehicles). He has also presided over numerous provincial and ministerial research projects in this field.
In the early stage, his research focused on vehicle control for parallel hybrid electric vehicles, configuration design for power-split hybrid electric vehicles, and energy-saving technologies for vehicle suspensions. Since 2011, his research emphasis has gradually shifted to motor and battery control.
For electric motors, he has investigated torsional vibration suppression approaches for vehicle powertrains induced by motor torque ripple.
For batteries, he has carried out research on thermal field analysis, capacity estimation and State of Charge (SOC) estimation of lithium-ion batteries.
In addition, he is currently studying nonlinearity and model error issues in intelligent vehicle navigation systems.
