I. Job Responsibilities

The Graduate Management Office of the College of Automotive Engineering is primarily responsible for the ideological guidance, daily affairs management, and growth development of graduate students. By gaining in-depth understanding of student dynamics and collaborating with relevant departments, the Office is committed to cultivating high-level, innovative talents with comprehensive development in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education.

1. Ideological and Political Education and Value Guidance

Conduct ideological and political education with a focus on ideals and beliefs, civic morality, and academic integrity. Deepen the promotion and education of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the Chinese Dream, and the core socialist values. Through diverse thematic educational activities, help graduate students continuously strengthen their confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and firmly establish a correct worldview, outlook on life, and value system. Understand the ideological and behavioral characteristics as well as the political and ideological status of graduate students, and provide targeted assistance in addressing specific issues related to their thoughts, value orientation, academic and personal life, career choices, and interpersonal relationships.

2. Party, League, and Class Construction

Select, cultivate, and motivate graduate student leaders. Oversee the education, management, and service of Party members. Guide the development of graduate Party branches, including the selection, training, guidance, and evaluation of branch secretaries and committee members. Supervise and ensure that each graduate Party branch conducts high-quality organizational activities and strengthens Party discipline, conduct, and党性 education. Cultivate and educate Party applicants and develop Party members among graduate students. Facilitate the construction of student class and League organizations, and guide classes and graduate student League organizations in conducting activities suited to graduate student characteristics.

3. Guiding Graduate Student Holistic Development

Assist in fostering a strong academic culture among graduate students, organize academic activities, and guide graduate students in attending academic lectures. Research and explore quality education initiatives for graduate students, organize and guide campus cultural activities, and enhance graduate student practical training.

4. Graduate Student Daily Affairs Management

Conduct orientation for new students, graduation education, and related management and service tasks. Handle student leave requests, academic status changes, and other related matters in accordance with university regulations. Responsible for the registration of new graduate students and annual academic status registration. Improve information channels, pay attention to student concerns and difficulties through meetings, surveys, and individual conversations, communicate with advisors to understand graduate students' academic and personal situations, and promptly and properly address emergencies to ensure student safety and stability.

Organize the selection of various scholarships and financial aid. Formulate and refine the College's regulations for graduate scholarship and financial aid selection, and ensure the proper selection process.

Provide support to students in financial difficulty. Publicize work-study policies and information, guide graduate students in participating in work-study activities, and assist relevant university departments in the selection of students for teaching, research, and management assistantships. Establish records for students facing financial difficulties. Care for the academic, personal, and psychological well-being of financially disadvantaged students. Assist the university in publicizing and implementing student loans and temporary hardship grants.

Responsible for graduate dormitory management and promoting a civilized living environment, providing life guidance to students and fostering harmonious relationships and mutual assistance.

5. Mental Health Education

Assist the University Mental Health Guidance Center in delivering mental health education, organize awareness campaigns to普及 mental health knowledge, and cultivate rational, optimistic, and positive mental attitudes among students. Conduct psychological assessments for new students, identify and provide support to students in need of psychological attention, establish mental health records for graduate students, and conduct follow-ups with those requiring continued care.

6. Career Planning and Employment Guidance

Provide students with scientific career planning, employment guidance, and related services, help them establish sound career values, and guide them to contribute their skills to the nation's most critical needs. Connect with employers and expand employment channels. Release timely and accurate employment information and provide explanations of employment policies. Organize targeted employment guidance activities. Assist in employment data management.

7. Complete other tasks assigned by leadership at all levels.
