Teacher Resource

At present, College of Automotive Engineering has formed a high-level discipline echelon with academician Guo Konghui as foregoer, a batch of young and middle-aged professors like especially invited professors and winners of national outstanding youth fund as research field academic foregoer, associate Professors with PHD and young doctors as backbones and reasonable age structure, education background structure, knowledge structure and professional title structure.

College of Automotive Engineering has 230 teachers and experiment technicians in total, 134 teachers undertaking teaching and scientific research, 58 engineering technicians undertaking development, application and maintenance of experimental equipments, among which there are 51 professors (including 1 academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 professor of Thousand Talents Plan, 1 especially invited professor of Changjiang Scholar, winner of national outstanding youth fund and 36 tutors of Ph.D. Student), 57 associate professors, 3 senior researcher engineers, 20 senior engineers.

The college pays much attention to construct high-quality technology team and stabilize an engineering team with high quality. There are 85 experiment technicians undertaking development and maintenance of experimental equipments, among which there are 3 senior researcher engineers and 20 senior engineers whose majors are automation control, computer hardware and software, mechatronics and vehicle engineering etc.

During the Eleventh and Twelfth Five-Year Plan, College of Automotive Engineering further cultivated scientific academic capacity of young and middle-aged teachers and introduced talents combined with plans and projects as rejuvenation program of the school, such as  Jilin University innovation fund, scientific research fund for young teachers of Jilin University, basic scientific research and business expenses and innovation research etc. In the future 10 years, the college will be at an important developing stage to build a teacher resource with advanced idea, international horizon, strategic eyes, innovative logic, dedicative spirit and high level ,to form a Teaching & Research team headed by 2-3 famous academician scientists (including the exterior), about 5 strategic scientists who can grasp dynamic development of science and technology at home and abroad, about 10 foregoers who have influence upon the discipline at home and abroad, about 30 excellent scientific research backbones with innovative ability, and to build 5-10 scientific research innovation teams with priority innovation capacity and level.

In the construction of the discipline and talents team, we should fully implement talent project of the three teams so that a batch of excellent young and middle-aged backbones can stand out and become nucleus of the college. While carefully constructing all-levels Teacher Resource, we should accelerate construction step of teaching and scientific professional technician team and talent construction of management team of the college. Besides we should fully play the irreplaceable role.

The implement of engineering technical team construction project and management team construction project incentives extensive engineering technicians to do well in teaching and work of scientific research. Professional technicians in teaching and scientific research try to be the first to create excellence and strive for promoting the teaching and scientific research of the college to be a new level.
